The 2016 2Face Foundation Peace Awards

The 2016 2Face Peace awards are dedicated to the IDP(Internally Displaced Person). Recent conflict and violence in the North East and Middle Belt of Nigeria have left millions homeless or in vulnerable states as their communities face a combination of insecurity and influx of displaced persons.

A champion of gender focused intervention, intersecting climate change, environment and conflict resolution.

She has decades of experience in research and field interventions in major conflict hotspots in Nigeria including the North East and North Central Nigeria and always places women front and center in solutions. Her personal experience with loss has left her undeterred in making a difference in the society.

A Coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations currently chaired by Racheal Ityonzughul, working in Benue state with the mission of facilitating capacity building of youths in Benue state, advocacy and emergency relief in conflicts.

BENGO-NET has been a focal point for providing relief to IDPs and communities ravaged by rogue herdsmen.

2Face Peace Award 2013 Awardees

Meet KYENPIYA, one of the Winners for the 2face Peace Awards 2013. KYENPIYA JESSICA MAKAN-NYABAM builds the hope of orphaned children through the CLAPAI orphanage-Child Love And Protection Advocacy Initiaitve in Plateau State. The home provides love, care and family to over 150 children drawn from different backgrounds most of whom have been affected by conflicts .

The 2face Peace Grant will be used to improve the orphanage, support vulnerable children and youth. Her husband Emmanuel , an ex pro footballer will expand his excellent work with youth from different religions and tribes in Dadinkowa a community in Jos using football as a focal point.

Meet Zainab Sanda one of the winners for 2face Peace Awards 2013.

Zainab Sanda is an education advocate who conducted a research in Rigaza a poorly served conflict prone community in Kaduna state were and official population of over 400,000 manage 7 dilapitated public schools.

Zainab has mobilized the schools PTA's to combine their hitherto scattered efforts at engaging the State Govt for improvements. She also raised funds and equipped a community skills centre with a VSAT and computers for the youth. This support will further her efforts and further her dream of increasing education access in poor communities and intergrating children across communities rendered mono-cultural after years of violence.

Meet Aminu Sidi (in the middle shaking hands with 2face idibia) one of the Winners for 2face Peace Awards 2013. Christian Moslem Peace Movement is an organization driven by young volunteers led by Aminu Garba Sidi works to build Peace through interfaith programs aimed at building bridges of peace in communities.

He believes that Peace is possible even in the most difficult situations. Amidst the challenges of growing distrust they conduct conflict mediation, sensitization exercises, trainings and interfaith recreational and reacch-out activities in communities in Bauchi and Gombe State. The 2face Peace Grant will be used to deepen the Peace work with school children and older at risk youth in Bauchi State.

The “VOTE NOT FIGHT, Election No Be War” campaign is a partnership initiative championed by 2face Idibia now known as 2baba with EIE Nigeria, Youngstars and several other orgaizations and entertainers. It is targeted primarily at the youth which incidentally constitute by far the largest voting population in the country who are also the main culprits and victims of election violence.    


One Voice Peace Concert which held in 2015 at the Classique Events Center, Ikeja, Lagos.

The concert was held to sensitize Nigerians on the need for post-election involvement in the day to day activities of the Nation and its government.
